Our tactile paving has been designed to comply fully with The Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) guidelines and caters for the growing demands of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 2005.
The tacile paving products are surface mounted with the use of a specially formulated adhesive.
The composition of the tactile paving tile is an abrasion and slip resistant, reinforced polyurethane composite which has been tested to outperform concrete 7 times in wear testing.
The range of our tactile paving includes blister tiles (available in various colours), for pedestrian crossings.
Corduroy hazard warning tiles (available in buff or grey) which warn visually impaired people of the presence of specific hazards; steps, level crossings or the approach to on-street light rapid transit (LRT) platforms. It is also used where a footway joins a shared route. It conveys the message "hazard, proceed with caution".
The cycle track warning tiles in our tactile paving range are used on shared cycle ways and footpaths.
